About Nidoulove

My name is Nassima, founder and manager of Nidoulove. This concept store was born from a story of love, care and transformation, inspired by my two life companions: Okami, my Akita Inu dog, and Titeuf, my cat, affectionately nicknamed Des Miaous for his tender and expressive way of asking for more cuddles or a little extra, even when he has already had some.

A true story
Okami came into my life in November 2018, from a Swiss breeder. She shares my daily life in the Paris region and has taught me a new form of love, made of loyalty, patience and listening.

Since she was a puppy, she suffered from digestive problems: loose stools, regurgitation, and bloating. I was told it was typical of her breed, the Akita Inu, known for their sensitive digestive system and difficulty digesting certain proteins. So I thought it was normal, that she simply lacked the enzymes to digest certain foods. I even tried giving her digestive enzyme supplements, convinced it would help, but she consistently refused them. At that time, I didn't yet understand that the real problem stemmed primarily from her diet itself.

In 2021, her condition worsened: vomiting, bile, diarrhea, itching, hair loss, watery eyes, recurring inflammation and folliculitis with raw, bald patches. I consulted numerous veterinarians and specialists, without success. I watched her deteriorate without understanding why. I thought I was feeding her properly, without realizing that the by-products, additives, and preservatives present in some foods could be allergens and exacerbate her problems.

Awareness
Seeing Okami suffer was a turning point. I wanted to understand what was really happening in her body and in her environment. I trained in animal naturopathy, natural nutrition, and holistic approaches to animal well-being.

I gradually overhauled her entire diet: simple ingredients, quality proteins, vegetable oils, appropriate supplements, and natural skincare. Within a few weeks, the results were visible. Okami stopped vomiting, her eyes calmed, her skin regained its balance, and, over the months, her fur began to grow back. She gradually regained her energy and well-being. This transformation marked the beginning of a new chapter.

The arrival of Titeuf
In 2022, I found a kitten sheltering under a car near my home. It wasn't even two months old. I took it in, fed it, and bathed it, planning to give it to a neighbor who had just lost her dog and wanted to adopt a new pet.

But when I wrapped him in a towel to dry him, he looked at me intently with a heart-wrenching intensity. At that precise moment, I knew I couldn't give him away. I kept him and decided he would come with us on vacation.

It was during this stay that I found his name. A Titeuf comic book was lying on the TV stand, and with his little light tuft of hair, the coincidence made me smile; the name suited him perfectly. Since then, he has stayed by my side, affectionate, curious, and greedy, naturally finding his place next to Okami.

The birth of Nidoulove
From this experience was born Nidoulove, a natural and discerning concept store dedicated to dogs, cats, and their humans. Nidoulove is a fusion: “nidou,” for the idea of ​​a soft and cozy nest, and “love,” for the bond we share with them. Each product is carefully selected, prioritizing quality, transparency, and sustainability. The goal is to offer essentials that are healthy, beautiful, and useful, designed for a gentler, more harmonious, and more mindful life.

Okami and Des Miaous are the official testers of the house. Their well-being guides every decision and every new product.

A simple and sincere philosophy
After seeing Okami regain her balance and vitality, the desire arose to help other animals live better, naturally. To share what has been learned, to make access to good products easier, and to support humans who want to care for their companions properly.
