Description

Napani organic coconut oil is a complementary food for dogs and cats, made solely from organic coconut oil. It can be added to food or used as an external coat treatment, making it a versatile product for households with both dogs and cats. Napani highlights an oil rich in medium-chain fatty acids, including lauric acid, beneficial for skin, coat, digestion, energy, and natural parasite prevention.

In the bowl, it easily integrates into dry, wet, homemade, mixed, or BARF diets. It provides a simple and clear source of lipids, without oil mixtures or additives, useful for enriching a diet without complicating the composition. In a BARF or homemade meal, it does not replace the overall balance of the diet. Coconut oil naturally contains medium-chain fatty acids, specific fats derived from coconut, prized for their energy benefits and good assimilation.

For external care, coconut oil can be applied to the coat and dry areas. Its melting texture spreads easily with massage and helps nourish the coat, soften the skin, and restore a more groomed appearance to rough or dull areas. For dogs, it can be used as an oil bath with a generous application before brushing or rinsing. For cats, application should remain more targeted, as they groom extensively and may ingest a larger quantity than recommended. After application, avoid direct sun exposure as long as the oil is still present on the coat or skin.

The organic coconut comes from Sri Lanka, and then the oil is processed in Germany to ensure a controlled and quality finished product.

The jar contains 500 ml of cold-pressed organic coconut oil. Its texture naturally varies with temperature: it solidifies when the room is cool, especially in winter, then becomes soft again with gentle heat. This is normal behavior for coconut oil and does not change its quality. To use it more easily when solid, simply scoop out the desired amount with a clean spoon, then gently melt it in a warm double boiler or between your hands for a small dose.

As with any fat-rich supplement, introduction into the diet should be gradual. Fresh water should always be available, especially when the diet is enriched with an oil or supplement. For sensitive animals, those overweight, prone to digestive issues, or being treated for liver disease, pancreatitis, or another condition, veterinary advice is recommended before regular use.

User guide

Instructions for Use
Add Napani organic coconut oil directly to your dog's or cat's food, according to the recommendations below. It can be mixed with dry, wet, homemade, mixed, or BARF food, depending on the animal's habits.

Start gradually, especially if your pet is not used to oils in their bowl. A small introduction over a few days allows you to check their digestive tolerance before reaching the recommended amount.

Indicative Rations

For dogs:

Up to 5 kg: 1 teaspoon per day.
From 6 to 15 kg: 2 teaspoons per day.
From 16 to 25 kg: 3 teaspoons per day.
More than 25 kg: 4 teaspoons per day.

For cats:

All weights: 1 teaspoon per day.

These quantities are those indicated by Napani for use in food. Adjust according to the overall diet, activity level, digestive sensitivity, and needs of your animal.

External Use

Coconut oil can also be used on the coat. For dogs, it can be applied as an oil bath, massaged into the fur or on dry areas, before brushing or rinsing as needed.

For cats, prioritize more targeted application, as they groom themselves extensively. Avoid overly broad applications if your cat licks themselves immediately or seems bothered.

Storage

Keep the jar tightly closed, in a dry place, away from heat and direct light. The texture of coconut oil naturally varies with temperature: it solidifies when cold and becomes liquid again when warmer.
Tip: if the oil is solid, take the desired amount with a clean spoon, then gently melt it in a warm bain-marie or for a few seconds between your hands for a small amount. Avoid directly heating the entire jar or microwaving it to preserve the oil's quality.
The best before date is indicated on the jar.
